At Encamp, we spend a lot of time on the phone with EHS professionals and one of the most common issues they have with their organization is training. So one of our in-house EHS specialist, Julie Ragains put together the top five FREE training resources for EHS professionals.

Free Webinars from EHS Today

EHS Today is a leading magazine for EHS management professionals in the United States.

Their webinars offer information, advice, and analysis from industry leaders on a variety of workplace safety, sustainability, and risk management topics. We are looking forward to viewing the "State of the EHS Industry: Exploring the Results of the EHS Research Study" webinar that was conducted in April!

You can access the complete library of EHS Today webinars here.

Resources from the EHS Daily Advisor

The EHS Daily Advisor from BLR is a great website for all things EHS. In addition to their newsletter that provides a daily source of EHS tips, news, and advice, they have built a more comprehensive library of resources containing guides, eBooks, research, and white papers.

A couple of topics that caught are eye:

  • EHS & Sustainability - An Evolving Relationship
  • 2020 EHS Salary Guide

A list of free resources can be found here.

McCoy & Associates White Papers

When it comes to RCRA training, McCoy & Associates are in a league of their own. Though they are worth every penny, we understand their 3 or 5-day RCRA seminars may not fit into your budget. However, what is often not known is that they offer a free library of White Papers on various waste topics. These should be considered essential reading if you are managing waste as an EHS professional.

Link to their White Paper library can be found here.

Free Health & Safety Classes from Alison

Alison is one of the world’s largest free learning platforms for education and skills training, and they offer a surprising amount of Health & Safety classes. We really enjoy that you can see how many people have taken each class and that they have ratings as well.

Their most popular course, "ISO 45001:2018 - Principles of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems" is a great place to start.

Current class offerings can be found here.

Free Webinars from NAEM

The National Association for EHS&S Management (NAEM) provides benchmarking, networking and professional development opportunities for environment, health, safety and sustainability (EHS&S) leaders. As a member of NAEM, you receive discounted rates to various events and access to a library of resources and webinars on a variety of topics. However, you do not have to be a member to access these webinars. Some are offered for free to non-members or at a very low cost.

You can register for current webinars, and access their past webinar library here.
